OUR PROGRAM
At Little Big Learners, we offer a range of engaging and enriching programs designed to support preschool and primary-aged children in developing the skills and confidence they need to thrive. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture early literacy, numeracy, creativity, and social development in a warm and supportive learning environment.
Our offerings include 3-hour weekly drop-off School Readiness sessions for preschoolers, school holiday workshops, 1:1 tutoring, and online learning sessions, all tailored to help children build strong foundations.
Please note that Little Big Learners is not a childcare centre or a registered kindergarten, and therefore Child Care Subsidy (CCS) does not apply. Our programs are designed as a supplementary educational experience, intended to support and enrich your child’s existing kindergarten, school, or homeschool program.
All of our programs run in small group settings with a maximum 1:6 educator-to-child ratio, allowing each child to receive individual attention, guidance, and meaningful learning support.
Through small group learning, hands-on activities, and a play-based approach, Little Big Learners aims to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in every child.
OUR FOCUS
We believe that learning should be hands-on and fun, with a strong focus on each child's emotional and mental health. Being "school-ready" goes far beyond academic skills like numeracy and literacy. That's why our programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture all aspects of early childhood development, helping children grow in confidence, resilience, and curiosity.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In our sessions, children have plenty of opportunities to explore, build, and create through sensory play, gross and fine motor activities, and hands-on projects. Our educators use a blend of the Thrass and Smart Spellings Approach to help children develop strong literacy skills while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
Each session follows a themed approach, with activities and crafts designed to encourage learning through various developmental areas. Children engage in free play, group activities, numeracy and literacy groups, circle time, story reading, mindfulness exercises, emotional well-being practices, and relationship-building activities, all of which help them develop essential skills for school and life.

Our 10-Week Enrolment Model
Rather than operating according to school terms, our programs run in flexible 10-week enrolment blocks. Your child’s block begins from the date they join, subject to availability.
We use this model because consistency is important. Ten sessions give our educators time to get to know your child, understand their individual needs and provide meaningful support across their learning, confidence and social development.
We understand that families may travel or have other commitments during the school holidays. For this reason, you may place your enrolment on hold for up to two weeks when needed.
Once the hold period has ended, your child’s enrolment will continue until all 10 sessions have been completed.
